Organic produce
& good things

We're a farm shop, cafe and community space in Margaret River, bringing you organic produce straight from the farm and other good things.

Black-and-white sketch of a covered porch beside a gravel car park, with tables and chairs lined up along a shed building. A row of short log posts borders the garden bed, with rocks bordering the car park and trees and grape vines in the background.
Assorted fresh produce arranged on a wooden table, including carrots, leafy greens, celery, cucumbers, potatoes, avocados, bananas, tomatoes, plums, red onions, beets, cabbage, broccoli, and a wrapped wedge of watermelon.

Many of you will have seen them at the farm, these two are Amélie and Oscar - sister and brother duo who are a part of the Gathered family and underwater hockey superstars. They are the elder two of Mark and Andrea's four children, Andrea being a very dear friend who passed away just over a year ago.

Amélie and Oscar have been selected to represent Australia in the international underwater hockey championships coming up in July in Turkey, but need to do a serious amount of fundraising to get themselves there. What follows is extra info from their dad and details on how you can help, and we're also putting a call out for contributions to a raffle prize. Please let us know by responding to this email or texting 0433 157 096 if you have anything that can be included in a raffle that we hope to put together in the coming weeks. Thanks so much!

From Mark...

I’m incredibly proud to share that two of my kids, Amélie and Oscar, have been selected to represent Australia in underwater hockey. After much hard work and playing at elite level, they have been chosen for the U19 womens and U19 mens Australian teams. The world championships will be held in Türkiye in July 2026.

Underwater hockey is fully self-funded as there is no sponsorship. This makes competing in a world championship incredibly expensive so we’re asking for your support to help them travel to Türkiye and to compete for Australia.

If you are able to assist, please follow this link to donate:

It’s crucial that you mention ‘Amélie Bailey’ or ‘Oscar Bailey’ (or both) in the supporter comment section. Only donations with their names will be allocated specifically to them. Please include their surname as there are other Australian athletes named Amelie and Oscar.

Your donation will go towards flights, accommodation, food, competition fees, uniforms, training camps, coaching and chaperones. Every donation is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is equally helpful, so please spread the word!

With gratitude.

Pictured here are the contents of an all-organic extra large fruit and veg box that went home with one of our lovely long time regulars last week. We don't advertise the contents of the box in advance, as the what goes in is only chosen the same day the boxes are packed. This means only the freshest and most delightful looking fruit and veg are chosen, depending on what comes in from Wagtail's patch on the farm, Wren's farm in Karridale and other organic growers.

By far the most popular option for subscription set box orders are the larger sizes purchased on a fortnightly basis. The produce is so fresh that it easily lasts two weeks and it means you don't get the build up in the fridge that sometimes happens with the weekly boxes. Subscription boxes also get extra value included as a thank you from us.

Want to give it a try? Head to www.gatheredorganics.com.au and place an order by 8am Tuesday for a box that can be picked up Thursday to Saturday from the farm.

The most beautiful autumnal fruit has been coming through the door at the farm shop the last couple of weeks - all local, freshly harvested and organically grown.

Spot the froglets! We have counted four species of frog calling around the dam at once, but there's sure to be more. A reliable sign of a healthy ecosystem 👍

Sometimes when Sally knows we have some big cooking days coming up in the kitchen, she will appear at the back door with magnificence like this. Organic, fresh herbs that look and smell amazing. This is what is used in our soups, sandwich fillings, muffins, pickles and take home meals. When the produce is this good, it doesn't take much to turn it into something delicious. Thanks Sally!
