Farm Shop Changes and Fresh Produce Update

Changes to online orders and availability of fresh produce

Well, July has been the quietest ever month here at the farm shop, in what has been a quiet year and in a couple of weeks we will be making a couple of changes to what’s on offer. You can still get your hands on locally grown, organic produce however the online store will be changed to offer set boxes only, that can be picked up from the farm (no delivery) and the physical farm shop will continue to be open six days a week, where visitors can browse in person.

It feels like the end of an era as we started on this journey offering custom boxes for local families almost ten years ago, but that feels like a world away now. Having said this, if online orders somehow manage to pick up over the next week or two, we will happily continue offering custom boxes.

Online orders are packed on Wednesdays with produce that arrives fresh that day, either from the farm, local growers or the organic wholesaler in Perth. All produce is organic and almost all is from Margaret River and the wider southwest. As much as possible we avoid plastics - reusing boxes, lining boxes with butcher’s paper and using compostable bags. It’s a privilege being able to offer chemical free, super fresh produce with little (or no) food miles and minimal packaging and would love to be able to continue if we can.

Orders can be placed anytime for boxes that can be collected on Thursday to Saturday from the farm, with deliveries offered to Margaret River, Cowaramup and Witchcliffe. You can have a look at what’s available by clicking on the big red link at the top of this email :) Thank you!

Large shallow bowl of creamy yellow soup drizzled with oil and topped with black pepper and dill sprigs on a wooden table. Plate of sliced bread and a small dish of butter sit beside it.

Perfect winter food - potato and leek soup with toasted bread and butter. All the ingredients used for this meal were either grown on the farm or sourced from local growers and makers. As an extra bonus, the veg, herbs and bread are all organic!

The sand pit has new toys! The toys at the farm get A LOT of love from the kids and every now and again we replenish what’s on offer, including last week. It’s a delight to see regular littles getting excited when they discover new toys as they play.
