It’s back to school for many of you this week and we look forward to regulars coming back after the winter break. We missed you! The cafe is ready with soups, toasties, cakes, as well as both hot and cold drinks. As always, everything in the cafe is made in house including strawberry syrup (pictured in the strawberry milk here), chocolate sauce, chai, juice, pickles and all the sweet things. Only wholefoods go in, no additives or preservatives and no crazy amounts of sugar.

As the variety of fruit and veg naturally slows down at this time of year, the range of organic pantry items available instore is steadily increasing. You won’t be able to find local organic garlic at the moment, but we do have organic minced garlic! Same goes for other veg that are out of season - tomatoes, turmeric and the like. There’s still plenty of fruit and veg available to choose from, all organic and always from the farm in the first instance.

Even though it’s still cold and wet outside, the days are getting noticeably longer already and August is when it’s time to start thinking about sowing summer seeds in trays. It’s only a couple of weeks before we can get sowing with tomato, zucchini, cucumber and all the other spring and summer fruiting crops.
