It has been a massive year for us behind the scenes, and sometimes it feels like a miracle we have managed to keep the doors open. For much of the year it has been a case of putting one foot in front of the other, working as hard as we can to maintain a space where people from all walks of life feel welcome, and hopefully that’s how you feel when you walk through the door. We have also tried to continue as an outlet for local growers and makers, ensuring they are paid a fair price for all the time and effort that goes into producing small scale, organic and artisinal goods.

It couldn’t have happened without your support and we never forget how grateful we are to every person who goes out of their way to stop by, be it for a veg box or a coffee. The scene has changed so much since we first started providing veg boxes about eight years ago from a tiny space in the Margaret River industrial area and it’s taken continuous adapting as more competition has popped up and people’s spending priorities change. The cafe has been our saving grace this year and will continue to be our main focus in 2026, expanding the range of offerings for breakfast and lunch, with the odd seasonal sundowner dinner thrown in too.

There are exciting times ahead with Yeah Wines setting up a new cellar door on the farm. Patrick and Sally have been working as hard as ever in the market garden and Luke is doing a great job managing the vineyard and livestock. Taken altogether, Footsteps Farm is becoming quite a hub of activity!

Thanks again for every purchase, funny story shared and positive review posted. Reviews on Google and Facebook make a very tangible difference in people being able to find us online, so an extra thank you to everyone who has taken the time to do this.

Wishing you the very best of however you choose to spend the coming week and we hope to see you at the farm soon.

The first wave of zucchini has come, we’re currently in a cucumber glut and tomatoes are so, so close! Sally and Patrick have been amazing, working all hours in the garden to keep on top of everything growing at a frantic pace.
