Kids Create Turtle Art in the Woodland

Check out the land art project led by Elaine with local kids.

Assorted fresh produce arranged on a wooden table, including carrots, sweet potatoes, beetroot with greens, turnips, a red cabbage half, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocados, bananas, a watermelon wedge, pumpkin/squash, and bags of leafy greens and herbs. A pile of small oranges and one larger citrus fruit sit near the center-right.

Shown here are the contents of one of last week’s extra large organic fruit and veg boxes, with a variety of 20 different fruit, veg and herbs.

Small clay sculpture of a tree with branch-like arms decorated with dried seed pods, placed against a rough tree trunk. A round clay figure with painted eyes sits in a hollow at the base amid dry grass and leaves.

Elaine Clocherty has been working her magic on the farm, guiding the kids in building a large long neck turtle in the woodland area as a piece of land art. It will be progressing over the next couple of weeks, so have a look for it if you’re stopping by!
