Sugar Snaps Galore and Community Talk

Enjoy fresh sugar snaps and join Sally's community talk.

Rows of green pea vines with white blossoms climb trellis netting on a farm field. A mulched path with a black irrigation line runs between the rows under a cloudy sky.

There is a sugar snap bonanza coming out of the garden at the moment. Sally and Patrick have been dropping them in by the crate load! Their season is always over very quickly and farm fresh is immensely better than anything from a supermarket, so grab some while you can.

The online farm shop has been updated to reflect a big pantry restock that will be on the shelves by this Thursday - all items are organic, ethically produced and ready to order for collection any day from Thursday to Saturday. Click on the link above to see what’s available.

In other news, we have the wonderful Sally Hayes dropping by this coming Thursday at 11am to share her knowledge and experiences from a lifetime of volunteering in the community. She will be talking about the challenges and rewards that can be gained from getting involved in your local community, and also making herself available for questions. The talk is aimed at the homeschool teens, but all ages are welcome. No booking required and no charge, although a contribution toward covering Sally’s lunch and a cup of tea would be gratefully received.

A mason jar mug filled with a bright pink iced drink sits on a wooden table with a paper straw. In the blurred background are trees, a field, and parked cars.

Perfect on a warm day, our cold strawberry milk is made from scratch using only strawberries, some sugar, vanilla and milk (vegan options available).

Spot the froglets! The dam is teeming with them at the moment. We have counted the calls of around four different species of frog, but there are probably more. A reliable sign of a healthy ecosystem.
