We are so lucky to have Sally and Patrick of Wagtail’s Garden share the farm. Their energy, dedication and hard work result in a truly amazing array of fresh organic produce coming in through the farm shop doors during the week. At the moment they are harvesting carrots, beetroot, radish, turnip, salad mix, silverbeet, parsley and coriander a few times a week to top up the shelves. It is all so fresh and vibrant, and well worth the trip to the farm to get your hands on.
While there is something happening in the cafe/community space most days of the week, there is a clear slot for a group to utilise the space on Mondays and Fridays. This service is offered for free to community groups and hobby catch ups (like sewing, writing and board game groups). So if you have been looking for a place to hold your regular get togethers, get in touch by responding to this email or sending a text message to 0433 157 096 and we can likely sort something out. There are large tables to use, power points for your sewing machines or other equipment and free wifi.
The community clothes swap yesterday was lots of fun and while smaller than previous events, still an abundance to choose from and everyone left with items they were happy with. We’re looking to hold a clothes swap every six months and they are well worth the effort to join in! Thank you to the teens and parents who helped sort clothes, set up and clean up, and to everyone who participated. All the money raised from ticket sales will be donated to Nature Conservation Margaret River.

It is going to be a busy week in the kitchen! These days there is a constant rotation of cooking and baking happening to keep up with demand and on the cards this week will be fresh batches of our super popular caramel slice, muesli slice, lime bars, orange almond cake, chocolate cake and salted caramel raw balls. All of which are wheat free. Then there’s the seasonal soups, housemade pickles, relishes and cooked veg for toasties and preparing the ingredients for the newest addition to our menu - housemade strawberry milk! Made in the style popular in South Korea and Japan using a mix of fresh strawberries, made from scratch strawberry syrup, milk and ice. It’s already proving very popular with kids and adults.
