With the school holidays coming to an end and the usual routine kicking back in, we have you covered for mid-week dinner. Made completely from wholefood ingredients in the Gathered kitchen, the shop is stocked up through the week with family friendly options that only require the addition of rice, pasta or maybe mashed potato to make it a complete meal. Working out at around $7 to $8 for an adult sized serve, it’s one of the cheapest takeaway options going around too!

What’s on offer is based around the veg and herbs coming from the farm, or what produce is available locally and there are three or four different options always on offer through the online store and at the farm shop, including at least two vegan dishes. This week we have old school bolognese, mushroom and eggplant bolognese, spiced French green lentil and roast tomato soup and chana masala (Indian spiced chickpea curry).

A flock of dark birds perches on the bare upper branches of tall trees against a pale blue sky. Several birds are also captured in flight above the treetops.

It’s hard to get a good pic as they’re always on the move but every sunrise and sunset lately, the farm has played host to a flock of over 50 black cockatoos. They spend around an hour moving from the woodland area to the vineyard to the market garden, ensuring their presence is known through their general racket and cockatoo shenanigans.

Dirt farm track running between fences, with grapevine rows on the left and several black cows standing near the vines. Two white sheep graze farther down the track beside more cows under a clear blue sky.
