New Year, New Beginnings at the Farm

Explore 2025 plans, farm tours, and cafe updates.

Close-up side view of a brown goat’s head and neck outdoors, with its ear upright and its nose near the back of another animal in the foreground. A small shed roof, fence posts, dry grass, and trees appear in the background under a blue sky.

We are back into the usual schedule with veg boxes available to collect from Thursday to Saturday and open hours from 7am Monday to Saturday, including public holidays. The offerings through the online shop are slightly reduced with some producers still on a break, but there’s still plenty to choose from including all the staples, and we will be up and running with a full range from next week.

2024 has been a challenging year and while there have still been lots of highlights (like Tom Tom and Sunny the goats joining the farm), we’re really looking forward to what 2025 will bring. Farm tours, monthly dinners and an expanded cafe menu will all be introduced over the coming weeks and be sure to have a look at the school holiday program that starts 7 January (scroll down for more information).

To every person who has stopped by this year, thank you so much. Making ends meet in a small business is not easy and every purchase makes a difference - to the family who runs the business, the staff they employ, the suppliers they source from and the community they give back to. It is a joy to see the same faces each week and also to get to know new faces too. Many of you are treasured members of the Gathered community and the wonderful thing about communities like these is there’s always room for more!

“Summer School Holidays” for Gathered at Footsteps Farm, listing kids’ craft workshops with dates, times, ages, and prices in colored sections. The design includes wave, honeycomb, forest, and abstract backgrounds plus small illustrations (a squirrel and a hooded child), and shows the website and phone number at the bottom.

Green “OPEN HOURS” sign listing dates and opening times from Dec 23 to Jan 3, with “www.gatheredorganics.com.au” at the bottom. The text overlays a of a covered outdoor seating area with wooden tables and chairs looking out onto grassy fields and trees.

Several crusty bread rolls sit on a wooden table, each partly wrapped in white paper bags with colorful labels. One roll is topped with sesame seeds, and the background is softly blurred.

Margaret River Woodfired Bread deliver fresh loaves twice a week to the farm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s also the bread that’s used in the cafe for toast and toasties!

Dense rows of tall green corn plants with pale tassels fill the foreground under a bright blue sky. Trees line the background, with a small farm structure partly visible to the right.

Bring on the sweetcorn. Can’t wait for corn to be ready and it’s not long now. Wagtail’s Garden crop is looking amazing.
