Celebrate with crafts and learn about Dia de los Muertos

This Thursday and Friday are special days around the world with Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), Halloween (All Hallows Eve) and All Saints Day. It’s also veg box pick up day and the weekly session with Nannas on the Mend! During the Nannas session we will be putting out materials for anyone that wants to stop by to make their own decorations or costumes to celebrate the occasion - make your own fabric flowers to decorate the table, throw together a last minute costume to wear while visiting Lilac Link in town or make a paper mask like the one pictured here. At Gathered, the homeshool kids will be learning all about the beautiful celebration that is Dia de los Muertos, mostly celebrated in Mexico and South America, remembering and celebrating loved ones who are no longer with us. If you would like to join in, all ages are welcome (including adults!) and no booking is required, just turn up from 1pm. If you’re using any of the materials on offer to make something, please leave a gold coin contribution so we can top up the supplies. Hopefully see you there 🏵️
