Organic Veggies and Kids Programs This Week

Explore new produce and school holiday activities

Wide view of a grassy farm field at sunrise, with mist near a fence line and trees in the distance. A blue sky with scattered clouds fills the upper half of the frame.

Another early morning pic from the farm. It really is one of the best times of day.

Every week now the amount of produce coming in from Patrick and Sally’s patch is increasing as the days become warmer and longer. Salad mix (pictured below), cauliflower, silverbeet, kale, parsley, pak choy, peas, broad beans and kailan comes in fresh a few days a week and is put straight out into the shop. It’s all so vibrant, fresh and crisp and the lowest food miles going around.

“SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS” listing kids’ workshops with times, dates, ages, and prices in two columns. Colored section banners include themes like “All about the OCEAN,” “Beeswax candles & clay candle holders,” “All about DRAGONS” (with a dragon illustration), “All about MAGIC,” “Stencil art workshop,” and “Linocut & block printing.”

Our school holiday program is out! It is full of sessions for kids aged six to teens, and some sessions are booked out already so be sure to check what’s on offer if you’re looking for something to keep the kids occupied over the break.

Stu from town drop off the occasional harvest of beautiful, organically grown fresh produce from his backyard market garden. He takes such care building his soil and it shows in the quality of the produce. At the moment we have plenty of his herbs instore, including coriander, sage, thyme, parsley and chives.
