With the Autumn Equinox last week and the final week of the school term coming up, the year is already flying by. The farm shop and cafe will be open the usual hours on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, closed as normal on Sunday and Monday, and then open again from Tuesday with school holiday kids sessions on offer on Tuesday and Thursday in both weeks.

The market garden is going through a seasonal transition from summer to autumn, with tomato and zucchini coming to an end, sweet corn, eggplant and capsicum looking amazing and pumpkins and melons not far from being ready to harvest. In the community section of the garden, we’re getting ready to plant potato, garlic and peas over the coming weeks in anticipation for winter and spring harvests.

Stacked paper bread bags labeled “Bespoke Bakery” and “Grain-free Pug Loaf,” with a bicycle logo. The labels show a “NO” list (gluten, GMO’s, sugar, animal products, nuts, preservatives, additives, gums, colours, flavours, grains) and an ingredients list on the right.

School holidays at the farm! Facilitated sessions for kids aged between 6 and 14 years old. We set up a range of self-guided stations around the room including water colour and acrylic painting, beading and jewelry, upcycled creations, air dry clay, origami, wool weaving, hand sewing and more. The stations include examples and written explanations to suit all ages and abilities, with two staff on hand to help out and supervise. The examples and materials change slightly each week to offer different ideas to keep kids interested and engaged.

The sessions also include a walk around the farm to visit and feed the goats, have a look in the market garden to see what’s growing and kids can plant their own seeds to take home.

The farm shop and farm cafe will be open and you can order morning tea or lunch for the kids, or a coffee and cake for yourself to enjoy on the verandah. Food sensitivities are catered for, with vegan, nut free and gluten free options available*.

The classes are limited to 15 kids per session and bookings are required to secure a spot. Bookings can be made here.

All our art supplies are biodegradable and/or made from recycled materials, even the glitter! Any plastic pieces are sourced from op shops and donations from the community.

*Please note food is prepared in a kitchen where ingredients such as egg, nuts, dairy and wheat flour are handled.
