It’s been a long time coming and there’s still a way to go, but the scene in this photo has us ridiculously excited. Another step closer to sourcing more local, organic produce for our community, this market garden in the making is going to be quite literally right on our doorstep. The veg will be grown and harvested the day it is packed into your veg boxes. Zero food miles. It’s a collaborative project and more info will be shared as there’s more to tell.
Here the beds are being shaped and prepared, ready for a cover crop to be sown, which will nurture and enhance the soil before the first veg plantings are sown in a few months.
