Late last year we were successful in obtaining a grant from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River under it’s Community resilience and economic stimulus initiative. The purpose of the grant is to build community awareness and connection between the people who grow and prepare our food and the people who eat and enjoy it. With the grant, we have engaged Michelle Troop of Folklore Photography to capture nearly 20 growers and makers in the Margaret River region.

It’s going to take a while for Michelle to get around to all the farms and kitchens but as the photos come through, we will use them to tell the stories behind the food here on our website as well as on social media.

A massive thanks in advance to all those who have agreed to be a part of the project. We truly appreciate you giving up your time and welcoming Michelle to your space. Thanks also to the Shire of Augusta Margaret River for providing the funds to make this project possible.

To get the ball rolling, here are a couple of snaps taken by Michelle at Lyn and Peter Moorfoot’s property in Rosa Brook. Lyn and Peter provide us with beautiful organic citrus fruit every week – lemons, oranges and mandarins. They are delivered the day they’re packed into the veg boxes, organically grown, super fresh and as local as it gets.
